      • Established California Workers’ Compensation Defense firm has an opening for a defense attorney, with 4 plus years’ experience in Workers’ Compensation Litigation.  Experience working as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster and/or a legal assistant at a firm that practices workers’ compensation law is a plus.

        Qualified candidates must have excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic and willing to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.  We are looking for a highly motivated team player.

      • GENERAL LIABILITY DEFENSE ATTORNEY – WESTLAKE VILLAGE OFFICE  
      • Defense Firm with multiple office locations throughout California seeking General Liability attorney with 5 plus years’ experience in General Liability & Personal Injury defense for the Westlake Village office.

        Must have experience in understanding medical records, mechanisms of injury and injuries, identifying the same, identifying experts needed, working up files, investigating, communicating with corporate clients, propounding and responding to discovery, taking depositions and preparing for trial. Must have experience in drafting reports to carrier/client, pleadings and dispositive motions. Must be self-motivated, curious, and hardworking. Must be independent enough to prepare files for settlement and trial as appropriate, as well as attend court hearings and available to travel. Knowledge of public entity law is a plus.

      • Defense firm is currently seeking a full-time experienced Paralegal with 5 plus years’ experience.

        This position involves keeping track of calendars and due dates; setting depositions, hearings, meetings, appointments, drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence; working with attorney services for filing and service of process; and all other general paralegal/legal assistant related job duties, including but not limited to issuing subpoenas for records, attaining court hearing dates, retaining interpreters, drafting of discovery.

        This position requires a high level of organization and advanced interpersonal skills for communication with clients and other legal professionals. Must be proficient in grammar, proofreading and punctuation.

        Qualifications:

        – Must be familiar with the California Code of Civil Procedure, Local Rules, State Court civil deadlines, court proceedings/deadlines, discovery deadlines, calendaring, drafting pleadings, drafting discovery, and trial preparation.
        – Must be familiar with State and Federal civil court website, dockets and reservations.
        – Must know how to file pleadings in State Courts/E-file (CM/ECF) pleadings in Federal Courts
        – Must know how to process, serve and monitor subpoenas.
        – Experience in a paperless filing system, as well as a case management system (MerusCase is a plus).
        – Experience in billing.
        – Effective oral and written communication skills;
        – Excellent proofreading skills;
        – Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook;
        – Excellent time-management skills;
        – Ability to perform multiple tasks;
        – Ability to type a minimum of 80 words;
        – Ability to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision;
        – Ability to deal effectively and professionally with clients, associates and staff;
