Linda Ostling is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Floyd Skeren Manukian Langevin in our firm’s Sacramento office. Ms. Ostling began her career in workers’ compensation in 1989 with State Compensation Insurance Fund. During her employment at State Fund, she worked as a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner for five years and was awarded the annual “PACE” Award two times, along with being awarded Employee of the Month. She decided to pursue a law degree and attended Lincoln Law School in Sacramento, graduating in the top five of her class.
Ms. Ostling began her legal career as a law clerk with Law Offices of Smolich and Smolich, a workers’ compensation firm representing applicants in Sacramento. After graduation from law school, she worked at Smolich and Smolich as an attorney representing injured workers in workers’ compensation proceedings, including multiple death cases, life pension, and 100% cases. After six years with Smolich and Smolich, Ms. Ostling worked as an attorney for the State of California Department of Corrections analyzing Life Pension and Death cases in order to provide settlement authority to State Compensation Insurance Fund. After nearly five years with the Department of Corrections, she returned as an attorney to State Compensation Insurance Fund. Ms. Ostling has a reputation for being tenacious, responsive and efficient in the handling of her files.
