Professional Experience

Blake S. Posner is a Partner in the firm’s Westlake Village office, where he practices all aspects of workers’ compensation defense, as well as civil litigation, including subrogation and liability defense. Mr. Posner obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge in 1991 before going on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the University of La Verne, School of Law in 1994. After graduating from law school, he received an LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University, School of Law, where he graduated with honors. As a part of the LL.M. program, Mr. Posner gained significant training and experience in complex legal issues pertaining to finance, accounting and tax.

Mr. Posner is an experienced attorney who has been practicing since 1994. Prior to joining Floyd Skeren Manukian Langevin, he specialized in civil litigation/workers’ compensation subrogation and workers’ compensation defense, representing a wide variety of clients ranging from insurance carriers, self-insured employers, counties, cities, and other municipalities. Additionally, Mr. Posner has extensive experience in all types of subrogation, insurance defense, reinsurance, insurance bad faith coverage, and business litigation. Subrogation matters have included workers’ compensation, auto, and large loss property subrogation matters, resulting from manufacturing defects, design defects and other product liability matters. He handled all aspects of business litigation and personal injury litigation from inception through trial. Mr. Posner has extensive experience with law and motion, depositions, pre-trial and trial work. He has experience as a managing attorney who supervised a staff of attorneys, paralegals and secretaries.

Mr. Posner is admitted to the California bar (1994); the U.S. District Court, Central District of California (2001); and the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of California (2002). He has been a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals, the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association, the California Trial Lawyers Association and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association.
